Pickstock paddlers raise over £2,100 for Macmillan

Pickstock Homes enjoyed a fantastic afternoon at the Coracle World Championships on September 13th. The two teams of intrepid pirate paddlers achieved third place in their heats and, amazingly, managed to stay dry!

The event, which takes place at the Pengwern Boat Club on the River Severn in Shrewsbury, has been running since 1997. Over the last 12 years teams and sponsors have helped raise more than £276,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Last year alone raised a record breaking £45,000.

Thank you to everyone who supported us by donating to Macmillan Cancer Support. Including entrance fees, the Just Giving page and cash donations, we have so far raised over £2,100.

It was an eventful championships, with both a record-breaking win and the slowest ever recorded time in one race, as well as countless capsized coracles.

If you didn’t have chance to donate and would like to support this wonderful charity, the Just Giving page is still open: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pickstock-homes
