Pickstock Partnerships Awarded for Building Excellence
Pickstock Partnerships has been recognized for building excellence by LABC Powys, winning awards in two categories. Its affordable housing scheme at Coed-y-Llan, Llanidloes, built on behalf of Mid-Wales Housing Association, won the categories for Best Social and Affordable Housing and High Volume Housing.
Part of the Pickstock Group of companies, Pickstock Partnerships works in collaboration with registered social landlords, local authorities and investors to develop affordable housing solutions to communities nationwide.
Coed-y-Llan comprises 31 new homes which are being developed in two phases. Phase one, which has recently been completed, consists of 25 homes, ranging from one- to four-bedroom houses, two-bedroom bungalows and one-bedroom flats. A further six homes make up phase two, which will consist of one-bedroom flats and two-bedroom houses.
“Pickstock Partnerships worked in conjunction with Mid-Wales Housing Association to deliver this important housing scheme, providing high quality, affordable homes to the local community,” said Nick Scott, CEO of Pickstock Partnerships.
“We are dedicated to delivering high standards of design and construction and we are delighted to have received recognition by LABC Powys.”
Mrs Sian Howells, Director of New Business of Mid-Wales Housing, said: “We are very proud of the homes that we have built at Coed-y-Llan in conjunction with Pickstock Partnerships. The properties are highly energy efficient and have dual zone heating systems which will make them affordable to heat for our tenants. We very much hope that the residents will enjoy living in their new homes.”
The LABC Awards recognise the best in technical innovation, sustainability and design, showcasing safe, sustainable and high quality construction projects. Having won the two regional categories, Pickstock Partnerships is now shortlisted for the South Wales Finals, to be held on 29 April 2016.
