New affordable homes for Llansantffraid
Pickstock Partnerships is delighted to announce its latest collaboration with Barcud, the newly formed housing association for mid and west Wales.
The mixed accommodation scheme of 26 homes is to be built on land adjacent to Dyffryn Foel on the edge of Llansantffraid, a beautiful location overlooking open countryside.
The mix of accommodation includes 2-bedroom bungalows, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom semi-detached houses and 4-bedroom detached homes. A proportion will be available to purchase for own occupation under Welsh Government’s Rent to Own scheme and the remainder will be affordable houses to rent.
The properties will be constructed in approved red brick with slate coloured roofs, which are in keeping with the characteristic traits of the properties within the locality and blend in with the existing surroundings.
Highly sustainable, the homes contain insulation levels that exceed standard building requirements, along with energy efficient heating systems and water saving measures such as low flush WCs and restricted taps.
Nick Scott, Director of Pickstock Partnerships, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Barcud and NHBC to deliver much needed high-quality housing that is both affordable and sustainable.
“The scheme meets Lifetime Homes requirements, which recognises the demand for adaptable, accessible homes that improve quality of life, and are future-proofed for homeowners’ needs.”
Work has begun on site, with a completion date scheduled for summer 2022.
