Pickstock Homes works with local Hodnet primary to help improve safety
Pickstock Homes Ltd were delighted to work with the Maintenance Team, KSPlantscapes, at Hodnet Primary School over the summer holidays to help widen the pathways at the entrance to the School, the works were planned as part of a package of safety enhancements to the school site, which included new fencing and electronic entry measures to control access and ensure safety of the children whilst on site.
Pickstock Homes Ltd’s team worked with the School to help widen and resurface a foot path into the School, to make it easier for the school to operate a two-way walking system around the site, which eases congestion for local families at busy drop off and pick up times.
Penny Lyall, Head Teacher at Hodnet Primary School, said “We are delighted with the outcome of this project. The wider path enables our families to have more space when walking around the school site and enables all our entrances to be two-way, without too much congestion. We are thankful to the team at Pickstock Homes who kindly funded this project and worked alongside our dedicated grounds maintenance team, ensuring a successful outcome, which is making a positive difference for our families”.
Nick Scott, Managing Director for Pickstock Homes Ltd, said that “it was a pleasure to be able to work with the School and their Maintenance Team on this exciting project, which should make getting to and from School that little bit easier for families and staff alike” he added “ whilst our developments often contribute affordable housing, public open space and make significant financial contributions to community infrastructure, we welcome the opportunity to provide voluntary support to local projects that make a difference.”
